Getting Started: How NET Can Overcome Procrastination

Procrastination. We’ve all been there. There’s something we know we need to do, but somehow we can’t get started. Or we sit down to start, and suddenly something ELSE very important pops up in our head – “I REALLY need to get back to Petunia about the weekend!”. What is going on?

Getting Started: How NET Can Overcome Procrastination 1

Unsurprisingly, I (Dr. Reed) also suffer from procrastination. Ever wondered why this very newsletter comes out sporadically instead of the first week of every month?  As my deadline for this one loomed on the horizon, internally I was feeling resistance. I knew what I needed to do, but the resistance to begin a task weighed heavily on me. Overwhelm took over, and the magnitude of the task made me feel frozen.  Despite feeling inspiration, I struggled with the words and I found myself questioning my efforts.  This distraction took away the motivation to proceed.

Luckily, I have a tool at my disposal. Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) can allow you to confront these challenges head-on! This tool has helped me accept my brain as it is,  and completely changed how I approach new tasks. I still struggle now and again, but the days of having big boxes of things to do that NEVER get touched is long over.

How does it work?

NET uses targeted pressure points and breathwork to unravel the emotional barriers holding people back. NET can transform emotional and physical patterns, in this case releasing the grip of resistance and overwhelm I was experiencing. In their place, I found clarity and determination, reigniting my passion and purpose.

As I sat down to write my blog after completing a round of NET, I did so with a newfound sense of empowerment, knowing that I had the tools to conquer procrastination easily. The words flowed effortlessly onto the page, and I embraced the journey ahead with renewed vigor and enthusiasm.

Amazingly, each time I continue to work on this issue with procrastination, the more I can tackle the underlying root cause. In this way we can reframe the problems in our life as opportunities to grow.

In the end, it was the combination of self-awareness and mindfulness that allowed me to break free from the cycle of procrastination. With NET as my guiding light, I reclaimed control over my destiny, ready to embrace the challenges that lay ahead with confidence and conviction.

So, if you find yourself grappling with procrastination, know that you are not alone. With the power of NET, you can overcome resistance, overwhelm, and lack of inspiration, and embrace a life of productivity and fulfillment. The journey may be challenging, but the rewards are well worth the effort.

Choose to break free from procrastination today, and unlock the endless possibilities that await you. Your future self will thank you for it!
